Used to adapt female pipe threads to CPVC tubing in COLD WATER APPLICATIONS ONLY! Where hot water or changing water temperatures are likely to be encountered, utilize the recommended TRANSITION UNIONS. PTFE thread tape is the accepted method of sealing pipe threads on CPVC fittings.
