The Stanley 1-3/8" Replacement Block Plane Iron Cutter Blade is made from hardened and tempered high carbon chrome steel which have excellent edge retention characteristics and allow a razor sharp edge to be honed. Ground to a flat surface for easy sharpening. The cutter is ground to provide a flat surface that is easier to sharpen. Comes with accurate ground edge of 25 degrees; however, finishing with an additional honed angle of 30 degrees is recommended.
