This gate can also be used as a swing gate or a gate for the top of a stairway, all of the necessary hardware is included, simply following the instructions.

Expand and Lock

• The Universal Pet Gate is extremely easy to install. First, begin by placing the gate in the opening where you would like to use it. Expand the gate so that all four side bumpers are in contact with the sides of the opening. Rotate the locking handle and insert the handle tab into the slot that gives enough tension to secure the gate. The handle tab should click into place.

Extra Security for Stairs

• When using your pet gate at the top of a staircase, always use the mounting hardware included. Fasten all gate hinges into solid materials only, following the instructions provided.
