Rust-Oleum® Specialty Camouflage Spray Paint is a flat, non-reflective spray paint designed for use on wood, metal, and other surfaces to disguise or break up the outlines of items to blend in with different terrains. This durable paint is suitable for outdoor use and resist chipping, cracking, and peeling. Do not use on galvanized surfaces. This Spray Paint provides a non-reflective, ultra-flat finish for maximum hiding. Applies to metal, wood, plaster or masonry. Offers long-lasting protection when applied on top of primer.

Surface Preparation

• All Surfaces: Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Mold and mildew must be cleaned with a chlorinated cleaner or bleach solution. Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry.
• Steel: Scrape and wire brush or power tool clean to remove loose rust, scale, and deteriorated coatings. Use 7569838 Red Primer for sound rusted or clean metal before application of a finish coat. PREVIOUSLY COATED: Previously coated surfaces must be sound and in good condition. Smooth, hard, or glossy surfaces should be scarified by sanding to create a surface profile. . Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate dust or fumes that contain lead. LEAD IS TOXIC.

Application

• Apply only when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90°F (10-32°C) and the relative humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Use outdoors or in areas with good ventilation. Avoid spraying in very windy or dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from overspray. Overspray can carry a significant distance. Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Shake often during use. Hold can upright 12-16" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply a base coat of one color first. Then use leaves and twigs as stencils and lay them on the surface to make a random pattern. Then use three or more colors to paint stripes and patterns over the leaves and twigs. Do not use near open flame.

Clean-Up

• Clean valve immediately after use by turning can upside down and depressing spray button for 3-5 seconds. Clean up wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits. Throw away empty can in trash pick-up. Do not burn or place in home trash compactor.

Clogging

• If the value clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object into can valve opening.
